How can I get windows media player to run in full screen mode on one monitor with a horizontal span dual monitor setup? The reason is because whenever I put win media player in full screen it spans across both monitors in the middle of the screen which is impossible to watch especially if the movie I am watching has subtitles. I can run it in window mode and watch it on one screen but it makes the picture much smaller then it would be in full screen mode because of all the buttons and stuff. If it is impossible to do it with windows media player is there another player that could do it?

if you are using dualhead(TM) or hydravision(TM) there should be a setting somewhere to set this easily, might be one in nview(TM) also, but im not sure, and im pretty sure that TwinView(TM) doesnt have this option.

I don't see any options in nview that would allow me to do this. It it matters I am using the gainward gf4 4600 video card.

I second the choice to use media player 6.4
If you are using win xp you can find it here:
c:\program files\windows media player\mplayer2.exe

You might also try BSPlayer (great player by the way) which has a separate movie window which will allow you to watch in the same size as full-screen ...
and if you don't like all the other stuff like desktop icons, bsplayer controls, etc still showing, hide them behind this window, set black desktop color and hide the toolbar ...
Kinda dissatisfying solution though, but I can't help you with these dual-display settings ...

You could try getting the latest drivers from Ndivia then run the nview wizard i see a few seings that enable you to span your desktop ( or not as the case may be) and let you have only one desktop etc. Why dont you just disable the second display when you want to view a movie? im sure overlay setting might help? plz correct if i am wrong.
