Problem With Compressing!!

Hi,

I was getting ready to capture some TV Shows one day when all of the sudden most of the compressions disappeared!!! Like Divx ;-) High and Low and Divx 5.02 is gone too. And when I try to reinstall the codecs they do not appear in vdub. Under my video codecs on my pc it shows them on there and says that they are working properly but they just don't appear in Vdub. Someone please help!!

ok thanks but the only thing is, I do not know how to get into the registry to find that stuff. Can anyone tell me how?

on windows:
Start->Run and then enter 'regedit' (without the quotes).
you'll see something similar to windows explorer with a tree of 'keys' on the left. just browse it (it's ordered alphabetically). untill you get to the specified 'path'.

then, on the right side of the window you'll be able to right click on the desired item and select 'delete'.

when u mess with the registry, bad things can happen. so, unless you know what you're doing, or following a specific procedure (as in that fix link) or you are ready to try and face the possible nasty consequences, don't do that.
