I noticed a mystery (in my opinion). When using Nandub on AVIs downloaded with the eDonkey (direct stream copy for audio and video), the saved new AVI is about 100 megs smaller! Although it's just a copy!
When I try the same with videos I encoded myself, the file size stays the same. Can someone explain this to me?

Thanks,
Tempe

Maybe youre loosing a second audio stream or some subtitle streams included in the d'lded avi. Hence the smaller size.

Its possible its Junk frames which can appear in avis and just take up space with no use virtualdub will remove these when doing a direct stream copy however the file size of 100mb is an awful lot for just junk frames weird.

it's edonkey's fault!

that soft (the donkey) is a piece oh s$$t everybody claims that it's great but it sucks.
Anyway it's not the place for such comments.

About ur 100meg-less-dubs i see 2 possibilities

1 the donkey abused u about the size and dumbed itself with temp-anti crash-files

2 u drank too much and fast-recompress the files or skipped an audio streams.

A+
