Very bad colors after using DVD2SVCD

I used DVD2SVCD to rip some DVDs and transform them into SVCDs but at the end of the entire long process I was quite surprised that the quality was not as good as I was expecting with strong bleeding of color, spots of red (in particular the pink of the faces of the movie characters was more toward red)and artifacts. I'd like to specify that I used your guide http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2svcd.htm to set the software and I used TMPG 2.54.37.135 to encode in Mpeg and I left the setting for Matrix as they are inside DVD2SCVCD becasue I wasn't sure how to set them. The movie was encoded for 2 CDs (80min each) and the info in Power DVD tells me the bitrate is 2.1 MBPS (I suppose is not bad!)
What can I do?

Sorry.. here is the log file ;) Please notice also that beside the problem with the colors I have some problems with any picture that I include as Title picture or Change cd picture...It tells me FILE NOT FOUND! And I can only go on if I uncheck the request for the two photos in the CD Image section. Can you tell me why that happens?

It looks like DVD2SVCD creates the Title picture but then you had a crash and had to recover?? It never creates the Change CD Mpg. It looks like you crashed a couple of times? Does it do this when it is trying to create the pictures?

I am not sure what happened, I think it actually tried to create the change cd picture mpg...Maybe not!
The only thing I now is that the hole process stops with an alert message saying "The file xpicture.bmp.mpg cannot be found"...The only way to go on is to uncheck the cd picture and title picture in the CD image section of DVD2SVCD.
Could that depend on the fact that I changed the folder of DVD2SVCD after having installed it?

I am still wondering about the right settings to get good quality of colors which is a lot more urgent than inserting the pictures. Does the color bleeding depend from TMPG 2.54.37.135, should I change the matrix settings??? HOW?

Is this pride and prejudice? If so volume 1 converted 100% ok for me. However, volume 2 kept crashing dvd2avi. So I did a preview of the frames on volume two and green pixels and green images were all over the images from the vobs ripped on the hd. So I haven't a clue but it sure seems volume 2 was wasted. In the end I couldn't back it up.

If you mean to try loading the SVCD mpg file on DVD2AVI now, after the hole process done, the answear is NO, the color does not look OK but just like the picture I previously attached with the only difference that is streched on the vertical direction (suppose is normal :confused: )!

sorry majet i didn't mean if the finished movie looks green or goofy, cuz we already know the finished product dosen't look good. What i meant was if you load the vob files in to dvd2avi does the picture look the same? Now that you deleted the vob files well never know that:( so maybe next time if it happens again keep your vob files ok?

I have had results exactly the same as this - video displays in very poor patchy colour when using TMPGenc as encoder.

My problem was cured when I reinstalled the avisynth.dll and readavs.dll files located in the dvd2svcd folder. The readavs.dll being the more important. I found my solution by a bit of luck and good old trial and error.

I checked the readavs.dll installation by going to the Environmental setting then VFAPIplugin tab in TMPEGenc. It should be ticked.

Also the readavs option should be set to a high priority. I usually have it set a 2.
