A few day's ago I dlded a movie with AC3 sound. The strange thing about it now is that when I try to play it the sound does some strange things.

The sound starts later than supposed to then it goes very fast and has even done before the mouths are done speaking in the movie. Although it sounds shocky and blurry. In a few words: it's a real mess. What's really strange about this is that it's only me and someone else who have that problem. Quiet a few other people dlded the same movie and don't heave that problem.

I've also encoded some movies myself with ac3 where I also don't have that problem.

So ... what's wrong here?

Greetzzzzzzzz,

very likely the guy who was doing the movie ( assuming its his last video from his summer holidays he is sharing, as you are certainly aware that no talking of pirated movies is allowed here on Doom9 ) was using some strange interleaving values. Some soundcards ( most likely SB Live ) can have probs here. Try to demux the AC3 with nandub, rename the .wav to .ac3 and mux it again to the video with Nandub's default interleaving settings. File may be a bit bigger afterwards ( only 1 - 2 MB ) but it should work then ...
