Here we go!
All of the following have to do with PAL+DivX+AC3+SBLive5.1(its drivers decode the AC3)+5.1 speakers!. I HAVE READ the F.A.Q.s and several posts but I still have a few questions and I want clean answers...
1. How do I disable or even uninstall the Morgan Stream Switcher?
2. Could someone explain to me in detail how the values of Preload and Interleave affect the video playback (each one separately and both together)
3. When I use 500ms_1frame or 500ms_2frames (prel_interl_NANDUB), I get SLIGHTLY choppy playback. On the contrary, when I use 500ms_64ms or 500ms_4frames the video playback is fine (the rule of interleaving being a multiple of 32 doesn’t seem to always work). Is there an explanation why this is happening?
5. Whatever preload value I choose, the result is exactly the same. Why? Doesn’t it affect anything?
6. I am currently using WinXP. In the past, with my Win98, I didn’t have any of these stupid problems! Both 500ms_1frame or 500ms_2frames seemed to work flawlessly. Could all these interleaving problems be a driver bug, so that in the future me movies would become “choppy” with some other driver?
7. The InterVideo filter has the option “6 speaker mode (5.1 channel)” grayed out! Can I enable it? Does it do software decoding? Can I do it with version 3.1.58? Where can I find it and how do I install it? (Currently, I can only use the S/PDIF output mode+driver decoding).
8. Power DVD has two abilities: 1. to S/PDIF output the signal of an AC3 (DVD), or 2. to decode it via 6 channel output. Can I use PowerDVDs 6 channel decoding function for decoding my AC3-DivXs?
9. Where can I find the “Cineplayer's audio filter” and how do I install it so as to replace InterVideos filter? Does it do 6ch software decoding?
