My 80 gb hd with my 77 or so movies I've spent months lovingly ripping and encoding has ...*sob*...died. Please take a moment of silence for my loss and all those others like me who have lost so much hard work to bad hardware.

oh dear oPerrin ... u must be in a wurld o hurt :rolleyes: . hehehe ... u do have a burner right !? hdd's are simply not fail-safe devices ( unless u spend, ahem, lotsa money ). guess u learnt the hard way ... :( nothing is safe until it's backed up.
