I used Graphedit and vob2audio and both times only the first 10-15 minutes of the movie has audio. It is in sync and the filesize seems large enough. When i play the audio by itself its the same. Any have an idea why it is doing this?
Thanks

When i play the audio by itself its the same.
does this mean that the mp3 file that you created with vob2audio (btw i would use besweet) does not contain any sound after 10-15 minutes?
if this is so it seems to me that the source file may be corrupt or that something went wrong while encoding with vob2audio. in order to check that play your vobs in an appropriate player if they do the same something went wrong while ripping the vobs. btw which ripper did you use? if the vob is ok, the vob2audio did not work out.
i definitely recommend to extract the audio with dvd2avi and then encode it with besweet, which is very easy if you have read doom9's wonderful guide.

I also used besweet and headache to make an mp3 from the ac3. The mp3's came out fine from that but when i added it to the video with vdub, the video would freeze for 3 seconds every minute or so, and the a/v was also out of sync. I checked the vobs and the ac3 from dvd2avi and they are fine, so i think its something to do with vob2audio and graphedit. I am also wondering if there is a codec i may have corrupted somehow. Any more ideas are appreciated. Thanks Kilgor

which player do you use? i.e. try to play your video with the besweet mp3 in bsplayer or zoomplayer or powerdivx.
look into the comfiguration dialogs of these players which sound-out device they are using. always select 'default direct sound', never select 'wave out'.
what interleave settings did you use?
what kind of asynch did you expirience?
if nothing helps, you could still try to make an ogg media stream.

I got it to work. I converted the ac3 again with Headache and used nandub to add it to the video instead of vdub. Not sure why it worked this time but thats ok. Thanks for your help.

:D
because vdub cannot handle variable bitrate mp3 but only CBR i.e. constant bitrate. so your success should be reproducible.:)
