i have found a really poor encoded anime with lot of noise,i want remove noise from it, but i need to apply filter with so strong thresold that i lost too much image detail
After many and many tries of noise removal, i've find out this method (it's very very slow anyway) which give me enough good results.
from an original size(320,240) i apply this filters
1- Bicubic resize (1024,768)
2- 2d-cleaner(10,2,2)
3- smart smoother(5,25) / 2d-cleaner(10,2,2)
4- 2:1 reduction (high quality)
What do you think about this cleaning method? Or exists a better way to remove noise from an anime (i underline the upper words really poor encoded) without losing too much details?
