the new version of ffdshow (it was launched yesterday) makes to crash all the directshow capture software that I use, when "raw video" on "codec selection" is checked. apparently, with the raw video characteristic it is always called on a directshow image processing when YUV2 color space is used, thus making the software to crash. can anyone reproduce this?
an example of directshow capture software is VirtualVCR, at www.digtv.ws.
that's why you can un-check 'raw-video' ;) you don't need it anyway, unless you use some very rarely used codecs (i.e. mostly mpeg4 based). i.e. it will probably enable you to postprocess mjpeg (but do u really need that??)
cheers
avi.
ps
that gives me an idea to use ffdshow as pre-filter for capture :) i'll give it a try ... hehe, sounds interesting

hehe, maybe it's possible. yeah, of course if "raw video" is not checked it does not interfere with other directshow capture apps.
nope, I only use mjpeg to capture, then processing to vdub, not used as a home codec to encode movies.
but I prevent you, on several directshow capture programs they crash with it. even on graphedit, where you have to insert manually the filter it crash...
