A big German DVD Board?

After the Ultimate Board has been banned, i don't know a big DVD Community that, do you know one?

ok there are the "dvdboard.de" & the "dvd-svcd-board.de" but those are interrested in SVCD & Home Entertaiment & definitiv not allow questions about ripping (decrypting) and that stuff

if you know a big & good Board please post

btw. i startet a littel projekt on my own but its realy a litte board and @ the moment not abel to answer havy stuff :eek:

but i hope i'll get some new members and can make the board grew up a little more

Well, in fact this IS very bad style because you wrote some blahblah to advertise "your" board.

Immediate ban would be the accurate reaction :P

Btw., since "your forum" has only 45 sections, I'd suggest you enter some more sections about "House - all about building a house", sub categories "windows", "doors", "doorknobs",..
Erm, what I mean is that your board is too overloaded to be successful.

Ah, and the quality isn't good either. So all people be kind and stay here and don't listen to SUCH bad ads!

hey i don't want to write some blah to provide my board i am realy searching 4 a german DVD Community - yeah realy :)

and ok the board is a "bit" overloaded i know i am working on it but most cathegories availible are whiched by the users (the board is littte because i switched the board system from the fucking eZ board to the cool vB and i had much more traffic on the old one - the new one is only a pilot project)

If anyone is interested in my opinion, I would wait for Q-bert's board and for the one that will be opened (if - when) by the Videoxone team (and I am giving me a strike for that one :D - "You are NOT allowed to strike users from that usergroup!" =:-( ).

after the discussion @ ultimateboards.de escalated i started a knew one @ a new subforum in my board (with guest acces of course) but it don't helped anything - no positive critisim - only shit

what Q-Bert did after some shit i made (@ the moment i had 600 posts) was to steal me my stars and gave me the user status posting sammler (= postings hunter), but i arranged with this and it was ok.., @the end i was the power user number 1 after Tsunami (spacer: 3500 postings - Tsunami 4200 oder some more i think)

so i ask the 3rd time:

did ANYBODY know a big german board?

AND @ all who thought i only want to spamm 4 my board:

BTW, closing of Q-bert's board would only be topped by closing Doom9's. IMO, Q-bert's board was in some areas even better than Doom9's... But, now it doesn't matter. And I don't know of any good german DVD board and if some certain people will not be in it I doubt that there ever will be one.

it was initially started as a support board for the translators if I'm not mistaken... and then somebody turned it into a doom9 board..

months is a bit exaggerated, it was announced on June the 30th on the German website but it existed before... just look at Psydons join date as a member ;)

A bit of its history:

As a translator board, it didn't attract many visitors and/or members...

so Scipio turned it into the German Doom9 Forum after meeting Psydon in IRC accidentally (actually that was while being at a friend's place for designing that (beta) German board logo...)

Psydon agreed and he got things going. A few days later, the forum was up and announced. A bit more than 3 weeks have passed since then and the forum has... let me see... > 1300 posts and 180 Members.


Conclusion: The Doom9 German Board attracts a lot more visitors than just a Doom9 German Translator Board. :)

But it's not meant to be a replacement for the UB and doesn't claim to be it - it's "just" the German Doom9 Board, in close relationship to Doom9's Board.

As a matter of fact the best german boards at the moment are:

Most specialists from "Ultimate Board" regularly visit both boards:
Tsunami, shh, Kika, Der Karl, mb1
Also other specialists never seen on "Ultimate" like Gandalf_der_Graue and more.

Quality counts.

And of course if you do some intelligent asking (conforming to the rules) ripping questions are allowed.
Simply don´t ask "what is the fastest way to rip dvd to svcd" as that is not tolerated. Why not asking "how do I convert vob to svcd fastly".

I also visit other german boards like doom9.psydon.net and gleitz.de but they are too small and do not have that highest quality.

i have to say - YES - mb1 you are right,

since the Ultimate Board was banned & locked down i am searching 4 German Boards which could make it but - i can't find any but the "dvdboard.de" and the "dvd-svcd-forum.de" which i knew before.
The **** on that Boards is, that they are very hard censored and sometimes the handling with New Users is so bad that the Admin posted an Announchment to Stop this but it doesn't realy worked - hwo could it with about 22'000 members....
So i keep on runnning my Board - its small but >I< like it and one day I looked into the Memberlist and - WOW - there were some of the realy good Guys online & Active like, Tsunami (do i realy have to say more?), Apu (Mod @ UB, rippers-delight.com), Dolemite (ak. HongKongFu - Author of DVX), QuoVadis (Author of NBS Catalogue), UncasMS (Mod @ UB & http://www.atlandide.net/~uncasms/), Ceronian & a lot of other Mods from the UB....

The german.doom9 project was started as a translation project and in my opinion it should not be something else...
they advertised the german.doom9 board @ dvdboard.de and this thread realy got mad, and the 2 german.doom9 Mods realy got creamed...... no GOOD Add :confused:

As for "too small": just wait a bit... it's growing...
And as for the quality: it's already not too bad, d9.de is reinforced by ppl like gerti67 (also mod here in the English Doom9), but just give that Board some time. :)

Soon 2000 Postings and 200 Members will be passed - good start I'd say.

looking over the topic of this thread and reading all mentioned posts everyone made some advertising for his own 'best' board - ok, just fine. Anybody is now able to choose his own 'best' board and just rest in peace... and btw, you are here @Doom9.net - The definitive DVD backup resource for everyone who is capable of reading english... no need to discuss german boards while only 0,03% (447/13.724) of the doom9.net community read this. Period!!
