ok guys, I've had many mixed results and have ripped out clumps of hair. Is there anyone who can help me? I'm trying to rip Sopranos DVD9'S in half so I can get 2 DVD5's WITH menu's.
First, Infoedit won't allow me to do 'split to 2 DVDS' so there goes that idea.
Second, I load up VTS_01_0.IFO and go to 'VOB extras' to strip unwanted VOB IDS. Theres 5 of them [ID 1+3 are episodes 1+2, ID 2+4 are episodes 3+4], I wasn't sure what number 5 was for so I tried leaving it in one time, another try I left it out. Either way I don't get the menu, just the 2 episodes. Somehow when I do manage to get the menu in there I can get the first episode to work BUT when i try selecting the 2nd episodes.... it locks up.
Third, I heard to try Smartripper as it can allow you to rip out the multiple chapters from a DVD. From what I gather in order to get 2 chapters on one DVD5 you need to merge the last VOB of the 1st chapter to the first VOB of the second chapter. Luckily it worked [on the 2nd DVD of season 1] BUT only when the 2 VOBS equal 1,048,000 [same size as a normal VOB]. When I joined 2 VOBS that came out to something smaller it wouldn't work [on the 1st DVD of season 1].
Does anyone have a method of ripping these pesky multi-episode DVDS? I'm not a master at Infoedit but I'm trying different combinations.
