qt6 won't play d5.02 generated divx files

Hi all,
so the problem is that player opens them and even seekbar moves but no video at all. is it to me or is it incompabilities between qt and divx?

ok funny thing this qt, crashed with video only file created with mp4creator+xvid, WOW xvid is more compliant than divx it shoewed me green video window :D and immediatelly crashes when i try to play or seek :devil:

I just made an .mp4 with XviD video and AAC audio and QT6 just refuses to play it. Works fine in mp4player.

There has already been talks on other forums. But it seems that QT6 does not yet support all the MPEG4 features commonly in use. :(

Put divx5 encoded video to .mp4 file with mp4creator. Don't use quarter pel, b-frames and gmc. Quicktime likes the files created this way, but xvid only shows green screen...

Which options (-hint?) did you use with mp4creator? I made an mp4
with 'mp4creator -H -rate 25 -c=file.avi file.mp4'
and 'mp4creator -H -I c=test.aac file.mp4' but QT says only 'error in program'.

well it seems that divx xvid and ffdshow can't decode qt files properly

use fourcc changer to test with xvid(crashed for me)
ps this file maybe badly generated i just converted from mov to avi and changed fourcc from MP4V to divx

edit: it's _not_ quality comparison, source was mpeg

Only mp4creator -c=video.avi -rate=25
I added the sound in quicktime from uncompressed wav: Open wav in quicktime, ctrl + a, ctrl + c, open video, edit:add scaled. After that export to mpeg4, video=passtrough.
