This bad command message is probably due to REGSVR32 command not being
present in path. I don't know if that's the default behaviour in Win98, since I've got XP here. You can do the following: go to WINDOWS\SYSTEM and copy REGSVR32.EXE to the text6 filter folder, then run the install.bat again. We'll take a look at this........

DeXT

==================================================================

to all that can help:

1. after follow DeXT's procedure, i finally able to get text6 filter installed. however, i still get the sync problem with cbr & vbr mp3. it's more like the sound is "cooked" if u r familiar with "uncook95.exe"'s problem.

2. all the software i used is the latest version (dx81a). mode2cdmaker seems to be perfect, but problem seems to be coming from text6 filter mainly due to incompatible with win98. does any1 encounter this problem?? :confused:

3. as i read through the forum, seems to me that oggmux, ogg5.1, and some DS filters are incompatible under win98se environment, is this really true? how can i prevent it? or is it the time that i should update myself to winxp pro?

I have not tested with .avi. I used ogg container, DivX 5.02 video and Vorbis sound. The 970MB file, burned to 99min CD-R worked just fine in win98se (OggDS 0.9.9.1, Riff6 filters)
IMHO ther's no point using .avi or MP3 since there is better formats available.

after reading the above message, i knew that there got to be something wrong with my system, so i setup the 2nd win98 partition for testing. geuss what?! vbr mp3 runs perfectly with dx7 on mode2cdmaker with wmplayer6.4(this is really classic). later, i installed dx8.1, then the mp3 goes "cooking" again. what version of dx r u using?

strange thing here, the above person mentioned about ogm with divx and ogg. standard format work perfectly for me (in hdd), but ogg5.1, i get no sound at all, try so many times with every single switch, and still no sound. i'm asking myself is it the problem with the ds filter or the oggmachine/besweetGUI? can any1 tell me where i can find ogg5.1 small samples for testing? ogg website only got ogg2.0 samples.

with oggmux, is any1 able to run subtitle under win98se? for me, i get crashs, uninstall "SubTitDS" make it runs smoothly without sub features. (sorry, i know there are people discuss about this problem in the forum already, but seems like no 1 discuss on how to solve it yet apart from not using it:D. or maybe just wait for the next version to be release:cool:

Rather waiting for next version. No workaround so far. No prevention. Sorry.
