the only way is upgrade to
- windows NT
- windows 2000 or
- windows XP
there's a read-only NTFS driver for 98 (i think it works with ME as well), but it doesn't help you much.

make sure you READ and understand what you are getting into. i recently did this myself and had/have no problems, but i can't speak for everyone.

There is a command-line program called convert that comes with winxp and probably win2k. All you have to do is open a DOS prompt and type convert "drive letter" /FS:NTFS but that only after you upgrade to Win2k or WinXP so you dont lose your data because Win2k/WinXP wont do it for you during installation.
