(yet another question ;) )
...everwicked(.com) released a "new" lame.dll
lame.dll SSE Version [ Version: 1.28 ]
Size: 95 KB Last update: 21/04/2002
Description: Lame.dll for HeadAC3he. Needed only for MP3 output. SSE version (Athlon XP, Duron (Morgan core), Pentium III, Celeron (PIII core)
http://download.everwicked.com/download.php?headache/Lame_enc_SSE-1.28(3.93).rar
is this version for HeadAC3he only ?! and if so, is it possible to compile a BeSweet-version for those amd XP users out there?!!
This would be great!!
thanks in advance

@sill
i already released that fastlame2.
i asked roberto (http://www.inf.ufpr.br/~rja00/mp3.html) to try and compile my lame_enc.dll sources. he did and found out that his products weren't faster.

Any chance you might be able to add support for changing the Vorbis channel coupling modes? I only ask because at low -q modes the surround downmix introduces some slight artifacts in the rear channel. If using light lossy or better yet lossless, the surround downmix sounds a little more clear to me. Again, this is only for low bitrates (ie. -q3 or lower). This has been discussed before and a few people agreed it seemed to make a difference.
Forgive if me this is already supported and I'm just behind on the progress you have made. I didn't see it in the latest GUI you posted above nor do I see it discussed anywhere in the forum so I thought I'd ask:)

Using the above configuration. Is it safe to say this will produce the best possible gain quality and performance? If I'm not mistaking you recommend people to use the "post gain engine" using -ota( -g max )? Please let me know if I'm in error here:)

Also, the resulting .ogg file crashes WinAmp 2.8 with both DirectSound and WaveOut so perhaps I did use something wrong? Of more interest, the .ogg file plays fine with Core Media Player a22...go figure. Any ideas?

hehe...got me. Maybe it's about time to have a seperate BeSweet FAQ? Your thoughts? Not sure that people would know to look in a General Audio FAQ for a BeSweet related question.
Thx for your time

Forgot one other thing that I don't happen to see in the audio FAQ.
In the GUI, I've set highest priority but when opening task mananger BeSweet is only using "normal" priority. Latest GUI and BeSweet build used of course with all your default files. Am I missing something here? Do you need the log file? If so the one above should suffice.
Edit-
Eeek:eek: Just had something strange happen in the GUI. Set everything up pressed the "AC3 to Ogg" button and didnt move my mouse off the button. Waited forever to see the transcode complete but it didnt and just used 100% of the CPU. However, soon as I moved the mouse the GUI refreshed and CPU utilization went back to 0%. I assume this is a VB issue maybe?
Edit2-
@ sillKotscha
