my XMPEG will not encode this correctly so i turn to the hardway of doing it.

After using DVD2AVI, and using VirtualDub to encode with no audio.. i now need to take the Vob file and extract the audio from it.
First i tried using Besweet.. but got this error in the log:

"Error 63: No support for VOB inputs in v1.2.
Quiting...
[00:00:00:000] Conversion Completed !
Logging ends : 05/28/02 , 21:30:59."
- not support.. but the damn button says Vob to MP3.

and HeadAche will not unzip without errors... I would contact doom9 and tell them about it.. but i don't have their email.

I can open the rar and view the stuff, but once i hit extract... error central.

Why not use DVD2AVI to extract the AC3? Just set DD to demux and make sure the correct audio track is selected. Then when you save the project the audio will appear in a separate file.
You need WinRar2.90 or higher to unrar the files. v2.8x or lower will not work.

BeSweetGUI supports ALL versions of BeSweet ;).

anyway, extract the ac3 stream with dvd2avi, and then continue.

Cheers :D,

thanx guys. I'll try it as soon as i find free time.

also, after i encode the file as a 2nd pass 4.12 divx, i go an play the avi file and I can see the outline of the lighting. I'm uncertain if it's a problem with my video card settings (All In Wonder Radeon8500dv) or if it's my encoding.

When i use adobe premere to extract the frame as a bmp the picture (to show u guys), it seems to be just fine... but when i play it, it looks really crappy. grr

you could also use BeStrip :
