I'm still only a rookie in DVD Ripping and had noticed that a lot of people complaining about cheap dvd-r's skipping and freezing.
Now from my experience so far I'm not sure if it is to do with cheap media. I own a Naiko N2051 DVD player and so does my uncle they were both purchased on the same day, same store, and same time (I got them).
I have ripped and burned approx 25 films so far. I have used various Branded and Unbranded Media and literally every disc I've burned freezes or skips on my Naiko player. Now I've taken all these discs to my uncle and tried them on his machine and they all play flawlessly.
I'm using the latest Nero burning software; I've got A Pioneer A03 Burner using Firmware 1.80.
So the Egg & Chicken situation is:
Is it the software, the burner, the player or the media?
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
