I don't have a lot of time to keep up with threads lately, so I keep waiting for someone else to post about this bug, but no one is, so I guess its not a bug :P
Anyway, anytime i do the audio in gordian knot it ends up out of sync. Playing with the framerate doesn't help, so instead I process the audio manually and get perfect sync, muxing the vbr mp3 with nandub.
I'm trying to figure out how this could happen, but I've got no ideas. I can post whatever settings are necessary, but I don't know which ones are relevant. I didn't change or customize any settings. I'm using the trim movie+credits on R1 DVDs.

I don't know if u use SR to get the VOBs to ur HD, but in case u use it, I remember having heard that u must use v2.40 and not the v2.41 because it can cause sync problems with the audio (although I use v2.41 and everything works fine).
Greetz!

As per Doom9's guide, one of the possible cause of out of synch is downsampling of audio to 44.1khz and/or using audio bitrate less than 128 kbps. Though, I haven't experienced it because I never downsample the audio and my audio bitrate is always 128 kbps. But, as you have said, if you did it separately with NanDub, the result is perfect. Maybe, there's something else causing it???
As for SmartRipper 2.41, I don't think it is the cause, since I'm using it for all my rippings and never had a single out-of-synch problem. (correct me if I'm wrong)

i'm using the newest lame, i don't downsample, but I do use ABR 112. Even so, I don't think lame is the problem.

Lame automatically downsamples at bitrates below 128. Are you adding --resample 48 to your lame commandline? If not, you have downsampled an this could be your problem.

But if evilhomer did it manually using the same bitrate of 112 kbps and then mux it with NanDub without any problem, then I don't think Lame is causing the out-of-synch problem. To trace the cause, I think it's better to examine the GKnot log file.
