Do you already have your video and audio files separated and what are you using to author the DVD files into VOBs?

They only time I've have synch problems with video/audio was when I was dragging the audio clip onto the video in something I used to use to author... I think it was MyDVD or something like that.

When the progs I've been using now, so long as the video and audio files have the same primary name, the program will move it in once it imports the video.

This is the way i did it with the 4 disc svcd lotr.

First merge all 4 files in TMPGenc
Then demultiplex the result with TMPEGenc
Throw away the video save the sound.
Open up the audio in TMPGenc and convert it to 48kHz

The audio is now done, now for the move.

Demultiplex all 4 parts of the movie in TMPGenc so that you end up with 4 seperat movie files.
Use dvdpatcher to change the svcd headers on these four files.

Done. Next step i did was to import all files in Maestro and authored it.

Nice little guide can be found on: http://www.vcdhelp.com/svcddvdr.htm
