I've successfully ripped and burned several DVD's to VCD's but this ones got me flustered. I'm working with "For a few dollars more". I can play the DVD with WinDVD and it plays fine, WinDVD reports that the disk is a DVD.

However, when I try to rip it with smartripper or DVD2SVCD I get a DVD not found error. So I looked at the disk with Windows explorer and it reports that the disk has 3.9GB, 2 folders (audio_ts, video_ts) but 0 files. There are no files in either folder. I used the command prompt to search for hidden files and it too reports 0 files on the disk.

I am currently in Thailand so there's a very good possibility that it's a pirate copy although it's looks original.
Where are the vob files? Or maybe the question should be how are they being hidden? thanks for the help!

vStrip_GUI's UDF button to see whether any of the files show up there...

Its the buggy OS udf parser at fault here.
vStrip and DVD Decrypter both have their own UDF parser. DVD Decrypter in particualar doesnt rely on the OS one at all.
