Guys,

I have encoded "Star War Episode 1". But the DivX movie
is very jumpy, as if there is missing frames.

The source is PAL, Interlaced.

Is it jumpy because a haven't de-interlaced, if it is,
how/where do I de-interlace.

I am using GKnot v0.26

Thanks in advance

Hi-

Perhaps you used Forced Film in DVD2AVI-PAL people shouldn't do that. Check the final frame rate of the movie. Open it in NanDub and go to File Information. Make sure it's 25fps.

Guys,

After looking into it a bit more, its seem to only happen in
Windows Media Player.

It looks as it is because I turn on "Double Buffering" in the
Decoder Configuration.

Is works fine in "The Playa" and MPLAYER2.EXE

Any Ideas ....

Hi TPanther,

I've noticed a playback issue with divx 5.02 and media player 8.

It seems using double buffering is not such a good idea. It makes the video very jerky, almost liek it's playing back 60 fps, but every other frame is several frames off of where ti should be, liek it plays frame 1, then skips to frame 3, then back to frame 2 then to frame 4 or somthing, or maybe like frame 1, frame 2, a copy of frame 1, a copy of frame 2, frame 3 etc.
