I been having field probs in My authored (spruce-up) movies
1) strip to m2v & ac3 streams with Smartrip.
2) Make d2v movie with dvd2avi....
3) rencode with Tmpgenc eg>Star Wars 1. Phantom Menace R1
Output
720 by 480
16:9
23.976 fps
VBR (3900kbps)
3:2 Pull down on playback
9 bit
Normal quality.
Input
16:9 Progrssive
Keep aspect/full frame.
No other settings
No GOP changes....standard Ippb.... etc
8 hrs later.....new m2v plays fine on PC screen...Author with Spruce...fix ifo to 16:9 aspect/auto letterbox.BURN
DVD plays ....BUT ...SOME fields are reversed ...not all it seems. By still framing ...I count 3 non interlaced frames ..and One 2 field frame ....this repeats.
I thought 3:2 meant 3 Frames then 2 Frames with fields.
Anyway I redo the project with DVD2avi reversing the fields. NOW they are all flickering...hmmm....I count 2 NI frames then 2 Interlaced Frames ...this repeats. This is different from the first attempt.
Anyone care to explain?
