View Full Version : mpeg2 editor
What is the best mpeg2 editor?
Ulead VideoStudio 6.0 could accept ,mpg file. But I find it difficult to use. Maybe get use to Premiere. So I am looking for other editor which accept mpeg2 file, if possible, m2v and mpg files.
:)
depends what you mean by 'editing', really. If you just mean chopping them to a certain length, then Vitec MPEG2 Pro (now discontinued), or Womble, or MPEG Edit Pro will do the trick, non-destructively. The problem comes when you want to do more complex editing tasks, because MPEG is notoriously bad for editing, owing to the fact that it RAPIDLY decreases in image quality. Ulead Media Studio Pro is a good basic MPEG2 editor, but to be honest, I'd seriously advise you to steer well clear of any MPEG editing at all, over and above basic cutting and merging, as described at the top of my reply.
Arky ;o)
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, just cut and join.
So where could I buy Womble or MPEG Edit Pro?

h**p://www.mediaware.com.au/M1-edit.html (MPEG 1)
h**p://www.mediaware.com.au/M2-edit.html (MPEG 2)
