help with cutting

i downloaded some Slam Dunk episodes and i want to cut out the intro and credit, but everytime i do, about a second still remain from the intro (i don't really care if its only a second, i still want to cut it out); so, is there any way to cut it at the exack spot i want to?

You can *only* cut at keyframes. Since the .avi must start with a keyframe there's nothing else you can do but to reencode or cut some more...
