I have an ATI TV Wonder PCI card using MMC 7.1 Drivers. After the install of G Knot .26, the ATI File Player can no longer play MP2 video. I use Drive Image so I can restore my system and retry things. I retraced my steps to see when the problem arises. I installed using the G Knot .21 installer and all was fine. I then did the .26 update and after that, ATI File Player no longer plays MP2 video, but you can hear the audio. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there are two things in the 0.26 installer that cause system changes:

avisynth 1.06
vobsub 2.14

try to install vobsub alone to see if this causes the problem...

Wef, your first inclination was right on ther money. Installing VobSub 2.14 alone causes ATI File Player to no longer play MP2's.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest U 2 use a better player. LOL. Did you try BSPlayer? or Zoom player?

Did you try to reinstall MMC7.1? I remember that ATI has a weird way to make file extension association in the registry.

Yes, the first thing I tried was re-installing MMC 7.1 but that did nothing. As before, there was sound just no video. After TheWEF's suggestion, I posted a new similiar thread in the Subtitles section of the forums. One of the moderator's, "ukendt" was kind enough to send me an older version of VOBSub. I did a custom install of GKnot0.26 upgrade without VOBSub 2.14 and then installed VOBsub 2.09. All has worked fine since, although I may try other viewers such as the ones you suggested.
