when I launch WMP 6.4 under win98 to play an ogm file, I have this message (french windows 98 se) :
MPLAYER2 a causé une erreur de division dans le module SUBTITDS.AX à 017f:0164b84f.

Then I desinstall the SubTitDS and the ogm play good. I tried to reinstall the SubTitDS but it crashs again. I've the last version from doom9 download page !
What can I do to have the subtitle ?

I think its a known problem not sure.. But read people say Subtitds has problems on Win98.. But DirectVobSub will playback muxed sub files in ogm files. So you can install that to still watch your movie..

I don't think anyone using Win98 has ever been successful in getting that Ogg Subtitles DSF to work.
And DVobSub subs are much prettier anyway :)

But you can't get dvobsub showing the subtitles below the movies, it has to be on the film. :P

edit: change can to can't

You can get DVobSub to show them below the movie. Use the option Extend to 4:3 or Extend to 16:9 depending on your movie and it will put black bars in the bottom of you movie and place the subtitles there.

Schultz,

not all the sub will be below the movie, let say the subtitle has more than 2 lines for example. With Ogg Subtitles DSF it always put it below the movie.

Well with a little more user intervention you can customize it to make the subs lower if you want or a bit smaller to fit etc.. but that is all extra stuff to get things done what you don't have to do with SubTisDs. But does Subtitds reduce the size of the sub to keep it in the black area automatically or what? Cause maybe could request this to gabest as an option if users would want it?

I am pretty sure a lot of users out there would love it if dvobsub can display the subtitle in the black area instead on the film. If Gabest can implement that that would be a great news for the subtitle scheme.

You can use 'Extend to 16:9' or 'Extend to 4:3', then you can seeing subtitles, as you wish.
