hi, i want to encode something at a certain average bitrate, not to achieve a filesize. so i checked calculate filesize in gknot 0.25 and entered a bitrate of 285. since credits were handled separately, this 285 should increase during the process. i attach the first part of the gknot logfile. can anyone tell me why the last line says 292 kbit?
first i thought this was due to the savings from the credits, but they were not done yet. and after the credits it says
11:27:50 PM: Started DivX5-Single, Quality 20%: E:\a222ivtc_Credits.avs
11:29:56 PM: Finished DivX5-Single, Quality 20%. Duration: 2 minutes, 5 seconds.
11:29:56 PM: Assumed: Main Movie has 60533 Frames.
11:29:56 PM: Assumed: Credits Part has 3711 Frames.
11:29:56 PM: Credits Size = 548Kb
11:29:56 PM: New Bitrate for Movie = 308 k(=1000)Bits/s
so the bitrate was changed twice and i end up with a file with an average bitrate of 297. i think this first 292 kbit increase could be the problem.
here the first part of the log file, look at the last line:
5/21/2002 11:27:50 PM: Job "a222" started.
o DivX5-Single, Quality 20%: E:\a222ivtc_Credits.avs
o DivX5-First Pass: E:\a222ivtc.avs
o DivX5-Second Pass: E:\a222ivtc.avs
o Append Credits.
x Delete Intermediate Files (disabled).
End of Job 1 (a222).
