I have installed Divx 5.02 the past friday. From now on, when I try to encode a DC10+ capture (with AVI_IO) on W98SE, the program exits at different points with this error box:

VideoSourceAVI (ICDecompress) error
aborted by user (-10)

I'm encoding captures on Divx 3.11, 4.xx and 5.xx the last two years without any trouble. I'm using the spanish translated 1.4c version of Vdub located at:

VirtualDub Spanish (http://peque.org/divx)

Any comment?.

TIA

Two things come to mind:
It seems that it is not possible to have both DivX4 and DivX5 installed at the same time. (Don't worry, DivX 5 can play back DivX4.) Try uninstalling both codecs and then reinstall only DivX5
VD1.4c is a quite old version. B-frames will not work unless you use v 1.4.10. Try updating VD and see if the problem remains.

I don't have the 4.xx codec installed (only the old 3.11). The 5.02 codec is the BASIC codec, not the PRO.
The problem remains on 1.4.10 version. Otherwise, with any other encoder program (AviUtl or Adobe Premiere), all rules good.
