Hi guys,
Please help me here...
I have having difficulties getting the Compressibility Check to work for Gordian Knot 0.26
Virtual Dub would just start and end immediately. Sometimes, it will start but still there is an error...
This is what the log says:
+Unknown Error: Compressibility Check Failed.
+Compressibility Check: DivX4
Something that I did not set up properly??

BTW, is there anyway that I can uninstall Gordian Knot?
I would like to reinstall and try again...Thanks

Did you install DivX 5.02?
GKnot .26 doesn't have support for 4 anymore.

yeap, I did install 5.02
However I installed 4.11 as well. Is that a problem?
How can I remove that?

Unless you jump through hoops (to use an American idiom) you cannot have both codecs installed at the same time. Your problem might be that 5 is no longer installed properly.

I have divx 4 uninstalled I guess....
But I am still having the same problem.
Seems that it does not work if I use certain resizing filter (neutral for example). I am currently using simple to encode...(compressibility check still fails after 100%)
Not sure what is going on...

Hi guys, finsih encoding...phew
Anyway, it works but only with simple resize filter and I also notice a strip of greenish blueish line (about 1-2mm) on the left side of the clip....hmmm....is that a known problem?
Going to try Neutral Bicubic and see if it works..

Green lines = known problem = resolution not divisible by 4.
I've not seen the phenonmena, but you may want to poke around in the DivX5 forum here for more info.

Hmm...resolution not divisble by 4....or crop value not divisble by 4? Cause my resolution is divisble by 16, that makes it divisble by 4 automatically right?
However my crop value is not divisble by 4...I will try that. Thanks
BTW, it(compressibilty check) works with FILM source.
Going to try again

I have just installed Gknot .26 on a brand new computer as well as Divx Pro, both the latest files which i downloaded yesterday.
When I choose Fast Deinterlacing (the option I am told to choose in the guide for PAL format) this error occurs. Like Yours it says Compressability Error Divx 4, but like you this doesnt make sense I just installed Divx 5 normally. I dont understand how some said cant have both codecs installed at the same time (assume he means 4 & 5)
when i leave Field Operations as none, the compression test runs ok. I am also using Neutral Bicubic.
i think this problem may also be related to the other error i am having when doing the final encoding "Cannot not open log file for reading", becuase this time i have been able to get past that one.
