Hello everyone i am demuxing the spiderman SVCd into an mp2 file and an m2v file with tmpgenc and when i do file 1of3 it works fine, but on files 2 of 3 and 3of3 it only demuxs 50% of each the video and the audio. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening or what i can do to fix it. Also if there is a better program for this process please let me know thanks

I have experimented similar problems using the Tmpgenc demuxer and the demuxer included in the bbtools. In my case, I have solved the problems using the demuxer included in a comercial package called Dvmpeg.

Best regards.

hmmm... I responded to the exact same question in another forum just now, but I think the nick was another. I suggested renaming the svcd mpegs to *.VOB and run them through dvd2avi. The suggestion appear to have worked.

I had a problem with demuxing with TMPGenc and than run DVD Patcher. I searched for MPEG2VCR and it creates *.mpv files which solved my problem. Don't know what it is with TMPGenc & the demux but every now and than the MPEG tolls through a loop.

Ok, you got the sound in one file. Creating a d2a project will only help if you're gonna reencode, and i take it you're not. Now use BBtools for demuxing each of the three files then dvtool or some other mpeg editing soft for joining the video. COme to think of it, you could just as well used Besplit for joining the audio. Oh well doesn't hurt to know more than one way.

cheers

There is a tool called 'PVAStrumento' from http://www.offeryn.de/dv.htm. It can demux and fix almost everything...

Another possibility is to try Graphedit: File source async (your mpg-file)->mpeg-2 splitter->dump filter behind it for every stream you want.

Okay, I got told this didn't work in that case, but I got another one...

One last resort in such cases:

Convert the stream to an MPEG2-PS stream with M2-Edit Pro 4.0, then you can demux with BBDMux :D
