I don't understand this Part of Doom's GKnot Guide about creating a DVD2AVi file when ripping an NTSC DVD:

Frame Rate = 29.970 fps: Let the preview run for a couple of minutes, then take a look at the Video Type: If it's FILM at a percentage higher or equal to 95% you can activate Forced FILM as shown below. IF it only shows FILM the same applies. Otherwise you will have to perform IVTC, the same also applies if the Video Type is NTSC.

Does that mean that if the Video Type shows NTSC that I have to activate Forced Film or not?

Thanks

Hi-

NTSC=100% NTSC, and you definitely do not Force FILM.

NTSC=100% NTSC, and you definitely do not Force FILM.

Ok thanks,

so that means if it shows NTSC (or 100% NTSC) I have to do IVTS later on in GKont than and set the framerate to 23.976 manually in GKnot as well. Right?
