Dear ultimate guru ... ,

first of all thanks for this great work U did again (I may think about the PayPal account ;) ).

At the moment Iīm doing a "test run" and until now everthing works as I expected... in one word: marvellous!! Nevertheless there is one tiny thing I noticed.

As everyone can see BeSweet (another guru ;) @DSPguru) is included. And thatīs my little question:

I used the GKnot-Guide (from doom9.org) but did not follow exactly as it was mentioned... (maybe thatīs it!!)... here is the difference:
- Audio A 96 kBit/s
- Encoder Audio 1(MP3 custom parameters):
AzidCmdl -L -3db -c normal
LameCmdl --alt-preset 96 --resample 48

it starts using BeSweet for transcoding with no complication but the duration took about 42 minutes. GKnot 0.23 (without using BeSweet) needed for the same movie nearly 23 minutes to transcode the AC3-Audio.
Does BeSweet take a longer time for doing a resample (although azid & lame.dll are used)??

greets Sill

P.S.: why does GKnot not support Psychovisual enhancements by now?

Hi DSPguru,

as U can see, I'm a newbie JuniorMember...

please post logfile

ehrm, where do I find your desired logfile to post it??

because of the fact that...

it's the fastest in the west ! (it's the only proggy that has one-pass normalization).

I really want to help you, but as I said... where do I find your desired logfile??

I really love to use his work and believe me I respect his work, but it was not a demand... just a question. (answered by now!!)

search for all the files created today that its size is less than 20kb (and includes the word BeSweet) ;)

... I found a BeSweet.log file... BUT:

Logging start : 04/16/02 , 11:29:49 ??? ??? AND:
I found the logfile in a folder where I stored(?) my "OGGmachine".

suggestion:

only for U ;) I'll do a third run to see if it is still that "slow" (but I think the result won't be the same, because I changed BeSweet.exe in the GKnot-folder by your proposed BeSweetv1.3RC... my fault, sorry).

but nevertheless i'll post the logfile (hope to find the right one :D ).

BTW, everything went very good...transcoding, encoding and muxing with nandub. No asynch audio at all (and a very good sound quality too :) (- Audio A 96 kBit/s
- Encoder Audio 1(MP3 custom parameters):
AzidCmdl -L -3db -c normal
LameCmdl --alt-preset 96 --resample 48 ))

hi sillKotscha

did you see the little checkbox in gknot audio encoder tab that says "Use BeSweet".

you can easily test out the faster method checking and unchecking this box.

BeSweet is faster if you use the same settings.
i'd say ~10-20% faster.

but if you are setting -alt -preset stuff encoding takes quite a while, even if you use BeSweet.

higher quality - longer encoding times... but that's not DSPgurus fault.
in fact, because of his great work your wait lasts a little shorter.

ok? ;) - have fun!

btw - you find the logfile right next to your ac3 and mp3 file. same name, just the ending .log
