Hi folks!
I have a big problem...I encoded a DVD using DVD2SVCD. Everything seemed to work fine...finally after over 30 hours of converting, de-/ and encoding I got my image files and burnt them. The CD is being played without problems on my DVD player, BUT THERE IS NO SOUND AT ALL! Although the sound was ripped converted an muxed correctly. When I play the encoded sound file on my PC everything is allright! Please help me coz it's so frustrating to ge a film without sound after 30 hours or so...
THKS A LOT!!!
Bye

Do you have the BBmpeg_muxed.mpg files and do they play the sound off your HD?

OK..so now here are the files mentioned needed for analyzing the problem. Can you find something special about which might have caused the error?

First you are using an old build, but I don't think that is your problem. You will want to upgrade as soon as you can.

Have you tried to play the SVCD in a Software DVD player like WinDVD or PowerDVD XP? If not do so. If it plays fine on your computer I would suspect the issue is with your DVD player.
What player do you have?

Have you checked to see if your player will play SVCD's ok at www.vcdhelp.com

This may seem silly, but I always look for the simplest solution first.
If you are running the sound from your DVD thru an amp, have you selected the proper line feed.
For example, on my Sony amp, my regular TV/Satellite/VCR sound runs thru the "Video 1" feed, but my DVD player is on "Video 2".

If the disc plays perfect on the PC then the problem must be with the DVD hardware. Whether it's not setup correctly for SVCD playback or the player is not compatable with SVCD's I cannot say.

Double check you DVD player and Reciever or TV(Whatever you are playing the SVCD sound on) and make sure you have the correct setup.

Have you played audio cd's without a problem through the same setup?
