I will appreciate any feedback on this. IŽve been trying to acomplish this conversion in an easy way with no success.
But IŽve found this : just adding AssumeFPS(23.976) to the Avisynth script and changing the resize (IŽm using bilinear resize) numbers to 480x480 does the trick.
I think this is the NTSC film FPS, but it woks ok.
Comments? :)

When you add Pulldown the 23.976fps is correct for NTSC video.
The audio is the difficult part. It often times comes out out of sync and at the wrong pitch.
There is a pretty long thread about this in the advanced forum.

Tks markb. IŽve read it, but I couldŽnt make out one really easy way to make the conversion.
Will read it again and do some trials.

Thats the point of the other thread there really isn't any easy way to convert both the audio and video from PAL to NTSC.
99% of the time the audio is screwed, unless you make adjustments for it.

I think IŽll start saving money for a new TV set... :(

Around here TV's don't support both versions, but many DVD players have PAL->NTSC conversion internally.
I often watch PAL movies on my Pioneer DVD player and can wtach them fine on my NTSC only TV.
Before you drive yourself nuts trying to convert do a SVCD as PAL and try it on your DVD player. It's worth a test anyway. You migh get lucky.

The problem is that in my country the TV standard is PAL-N, an there are slight differences. The DVD player play both NTSC and PAL, but the TV only supports PAL-N, not PAL.
As the Murphy law says, the good thing about standards is that everybody can have one... :(
