View Full Version : Does vcdxbuild delete the muxed.mpg?

Hello all! My problem is at the very end of the DVD2SVCD process. Everything goes fine, it's just that after VCDxbuild creates the cd images, the bbmpeg_muxed_file.mpg disappears. I usually edit the .xml and rebuild the cd images, so I always have to remux .mpv files, which is a hassle.

Right now, I'm stopping DVD2SVCD right after the muxing, and making a copy of the .mpg, but I don't want to babysit and copying such a large files takes a while too. Is there a way so that after the cd images are made, that the mpeg file stays?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Make sure Do not delete any files is checked on the misc tab.

I believe the main ones it deletes if you have 'Don't delete any files' checked are
Extracted_audio_1.ac3 350MB (not 100% sure about this one though)
bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg 794MB
bbMPEG_Muxed_File01.mpg 794MB
Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv 1.37G

so I always now uncheck that since it's no longer required to use 'Recover' option. So you can save anywhere from 3GB to 5GB per movie. It really helps when batch converting 3 or 4 dvds at once. Savings of about 14 to 16GB.

oh yeah..I used to view the mpg to view the quality but now it's useless since you can preview quality with daemon tools .bin and .cue and verify the title picture and chapters too.

Well that made me feel (and look) stupid. I saw that option, but I never made the connection! Argh! Anyway, thanks a lot!
