Different bitrate is no problem for video, just append them as usual in VDub. For audio this is quite another story....

i've done this once or twice, but all involved recoding the two seperate sections to the same bitrate (video and audio) AND making the frame sizes the same.....then appending, and depending on how large the file is, recoding it again from there.
