It claims you can put 120m of hi quality movie onto 1x80min CD.

And how do you use this template with DVD2SVCD ?
Thanks

that template is just BS. Don't waste your time. If you want to put a whole movie into a good svcd of just 1 cd, there are few things to keep in mind:

1) it doesn't worth the work if the movie time lenght is bigger than 100 minutes;

2) it only worth the work if the movie resolution is 2.21:1;

3) you need to cut the end credits. Although black is very well compressed in mpeg, those white letters moving from down to up in your screen are very hard to compress. The end credits ever uses the maximum bitrate available, so that if you are using i.e. max=2400 and your movie have 5 min of end credits, you will waste 5 min of bandwith at 2400 kbps;

4) use CCE instead of tmpeg. Those tmpeg's too long GOPs are just increasing the entropy of your encoding;

5) use the resolution 352x480 instead of 480x480. The difference of resolution is not visible in the screen, but you will increase almost 36% of the bitrate/block with the same average bitrate- and the bitrate/block is much more important than the average bitrate;

tip: checkmark "edit avs script" and use fitCD to calculate the correct value of resize that you will edit.

did you got it?

B.S.? Of course! "Beautiful Screen" :D

"Not worth if over 100 minutes?"
Look at the "Matrix" sample. It's the quality that got into a single CD-R. About 130 minutes.

Cut end credits?. Some times.

"Use CCE instead of TMPEG!"
Where have you been living since the 2.54 Release?
TMPEG wipes out CCE.

"use the resolution 352x480 instead of 480x480."
That's already the default KVCD resolution.

"did you got it?"
Yes we get it. You didn't! :devil:
