Hi All,

I'm having problem converting files from divx to SVCD... I can create the M2V & MP2 files but when I use bbmpeg2 I get an input file error and I only get a small mpg file produced... Here is a log from bbmeg...

Audio: none

Multiplexing: video and two audio streams
program stream type: SVCD with pulldown auto-detection
video file: c:\movies\the others\vite-divx-to.m2v

audio 2 file: c:\movies\the others\vite-divx-to.mp2
program file: temp.mpg

Can someone point out what I could be doing wrong?

Thanking in advance...

Did you use TmpgEnc or CCE to get to Mpeg2? I've had those kinds of problems with TmpgEnc. I've had to cut a small portion of the beginning of the movie to fix this. CCE hasn't produced problems of this kind (for me)

I'm using tmpg... I'll give CCE a try what version do you use? 2.5 or 2.6???

Thanks for your reply...

2.5 .... but before you go and reencode the entire thing you might wanna try cutting the a few seconds of the beginning and see if bbmpeg wont mux it then. I'd use VirtualDub for this, direct stream copy on both A and V.

Besides CCE doesn't give as good results as TmpgEnc at low bitrates, in my opinion.
