Will XCD support interactive menus?? i would like to rip entire DVD with menus, extras etc encode video streams to divx or xvid and put it on few CDs to look exactly like on DVD. i mean i want full DVD on CD with divx streams insted of mpeg2 stream. is this posibile to do yet, or will it be posibile??

xcd is a storage format.. like iso 9600, udf (which is used by DVD).. what you put on it has nothing to do with the format itself

Uh, sorry to step in here, but XCD is something comparable to (s)VCD and DVD, thus we're planning on menus as well...

Until now it looks like we have different "levels" of XCD:
level one is more or less simply the storage format (mode 2, form2 for the "data" track and an mode1 track for additional stuff as well as security headers etc).
level 2 will add some specialities and level 3 has menus, playlists, etc.

The DSF will most likely only support level 1, the other levels are on application level.

So we're working on XCD level 1 at the moment, and there doom9 is right, it's a storage format.
