Has anyone done some test with the new avisynth to check if it is faster? I hope so because my old 700mhz PIII only encodes at 6-7fps without GMC , b-frames or quarter pixel at DIVX5(Full procesiing mode in VDub and 8-9 fast recompress)

This is a bugfixed version.
Your benchmarks are normally on this CPU.

Most of processing time is used by the resizing functions.
There are no wonders. You have to buy a new CPU... :(

The new Avisynth does use less memory according to the changelog, which I suppose could cause a performance boost on systems that are already low on RAM (256MB or less, probably)

i used to have 368mbs but now due to a broken dimm of 256mbs i only have 128. Acoording to my tests i have an 1-2 fps increase.

I've done a couple of DVD to SVCD conversions using the new AviSynth dll, and it seems that the memory usage is really a lot smaller. The old versions consumed about 280MB at most while the new one uses a bit less than 200MB:)
