mpeg2dec for Vdub?

I was wondering if there is a way to use mpeg2dec in VirtualDub... This would be a great way to read those d2v files within Vdub without going through slow vfapi connections. so I can use all the filters in Vdub. More importantly, the resize filters for vdub seem to be faster than avisynth.

And Avisynth wouldn't work because? If you specify RGB in DVD2AVI, then you'll get RGB through Avisynth to VDub...
