View Full Version : just second pass in nundub?

OK. Maybe this is a stupid question, but anyway...
My PC crashed during second pass, and I just want to do the second pass again (with exactly the same settings) using the .stats file from the first pass. Do I just use "save as avi" to do that? How do I make sure that Nandub uses my old .stats file? Do I just have to use the same path/filename for my .avi and my .stats?
Thx.

You should be ok to do the second pass.
Just check that stat file is intact.
Are you using GKnot too? If you are, you will have 2 stat files.

Thanks.
Normally I'm using GKnot, but I have a VCD as source, so I just use Nandub.

Just tried it. It doesn't seem to work. I can erase the .stats file while Nandub is working (yes, I have a backup ;)). That means that Nandub doesn't use it. So it just makes a single-pass DivX, without using the information from my .stats file. :(
What do I do wrong? It can't be so hard to just redo the second pass!

OK. I think I found it.
SBC Options --> Bitrate curve --> Encode using...
Doh! Me should buy new glasses :p

The whole point of using NanDub is the second pass.
You should be able to reuse the stat file. I know I have in the past.
Sounds to me like you will need to redo the first pass friend.
