hey dudez...i`ve just started ripping my own dvd`s and i was wondering just how much can be written onto a blank 4.7GB dvd,at the end of the encoding process i ended up with both the video-ts and audio-ts folders totaling 4.439GB.Basicly is this too much to fit onto a blank disk?and what should i be aiming for in total?...THANKS:confused:

I think the solution of your problem is:

It's like a harddisk... If they say, 4.7, they mean that a GB is 1000*1000*1000 bytes.

But windows thinks, a GB is 1024*1024*1024 Bytes. So for windows there is only 4.377 GB free an a DVD-R.
