I got a avi clip that i caputred with my dv cam.. When i try to import it to nandub i get the follwoing error,

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Couldnt locate decompressor for format "dvsd" (unknown)

virtualfdub requires a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. Directshow codes, such as those used by windows mediaplayer, are not suitable.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I've changed from Win2000 to XP, befor i did that it worked just fined to make divx:s from an DV avi in nandub.

Download MainConcept DigitalVideo (DV) Codec for Win32 v2.04 from their website.

I had this problem too, in Windows 2000, so I don't think it's XP-related. I borrowed a friend's cam, I don't have one of my own.

Have you tried opening your avi in TMPGEnc or AviUtil and using them to create "projects", i.e. frameserve the file to Nandub?
I'm not saying it's the solution, but it's worth a try.
