Hey,

Is there a way to have an external file (mp3) for a movie, like the audio commentary without muxing it to the film?
Whats the best way to achieve this?

Thanks..

Hi

there is a possibility and I would suggest to use it, because the avi will be shorter in comparision to a muxed one.

Use Microdvd player (http://www.tiasoft.de).

I think it's the best player i've ever seen, you can build menus like in the dvd. It supports subtitles, chapters, angles, multiple languages etc. Nearly everything the dvd can do.

If you can speak german, you can look at http://www.vonbredow.de (if it works), select DVD-RIP and then the big link at the bottom of the page. It's an old guide, I wouldn't to everything so it says today, but it has some examples how to use microdvd player.
