Well I have asked on #Doom9 but not everybody shows up there so I dare to ask here.

Is there a way of saving the Performance settings under menu Tools?

My point is...when I mux Audio and Video I do it much faster (at least 45% faster) if I have them set to maximum:

Avi Output Buffering - 64Mb
Wave Input Buffering - 8Mb
Stream Data Pipelining - 256 Buffers

There are less writes on the disc...and bigger chunks of data are written each time...

But they when I open Nandub they are always defaulted and no body could help me in a way of saving what I choose.

Any idea how to do it guys?

Could somebody confirm if this helps also avi encoding? I have 1Gb DDr266 memory so I could safely use the maximum... as default.

Take care.

good question, i'm searching through the post just knowing this question has been answered before, but maybe not. i'm experimenting with the same thing. i set all of mine to maximum per your suggestion. btw, i'm using vdub not nandub, and the divx 5.0.1 codec. i let you know what the results are, but if you know of another thread where this topic has been covered let me know.
