hiho!
@umanic:
are they really ready now? i cant choose b-frames yet but i think the quality has much improved (or i just think so :)).
"#define BFRAMES"
so what does it exactly means now?

Why does this question have to be asked every two weeks? Does everyone really think the XviD developers won't tell you when they have it ready?

dunno, sry. but go to http://www.heimsnet.is/kg/, download the latest xvid and test it by yourself. i think, they are integrated yet...
Suxen_drol just commited code with the description tag #define BFRAMES. By the looks of things there is alot of #ifdef BFRAMES & alot of B-Frame code. But I cant see it being turned on anywhere yet (with a #define BFRAMES)
Looks like things are progressing though, :)

Well yeah, they're putting in more and more code and testing it for bugs, but once it's ready they will let us know. The fact that they haven't, means it's not ready yet. No use asking for it.
Very true, sorry Acaila, I didnt mean to sound like I was undermining your post. Just thought i'd try to add some sort of explanation to ripping 3ngine's comment. :)
Cheers,

Oh oh everybody listen to me! I have an Idea!
Lets make a sticky thread and call it "State of Xvid B frames". Every 2 weeks we could post
no
no
no
no
no
no
no
no
no
no
untill they are implimented then we could post
YES
It should cut down on this redundancy.
I took the liberty of creating a similar sticky: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24358
