I have the BT869 tvout chip on my old geforce ddr, It works great with tvtool once you get it up and running. The only thing i dont like about it that you either have to deal with overscan or black bars but i hear thats the same for all of the tvout cards. Let me know if i'm wrong.

Hi,
I read that the following:
TV-Out chips in order of quality (best = first):
1. Hollywood Plus TV-Out (from SigmaDesigns)
2. Rage Theatre (ATI Radeon, ...)
3. Phillips (MSI Geforce3, ...)
4. Conexant (GeForce 2, ...)
5. Chrontel Chip
Perhaps i will buy a Hollywood Plus card...

Yes but some models of the hollywood plus don't allow rgb resolutions in the hdtv(dvd) size that you would get with a radeon. Some models can be modded thou. Just do some research before you buy one. Also make sure you can find a WindowsXP driver for it if thats what you are running. Also that you have plenty of IRQ's available for a Windows 98se system.
