I am trying to back up dusk till dawn, Heres what I do

1. Rip complete DVD to HD using DVD Decrypter(The DVD is only 4.13gb so it will fit onto DVD-R, without stripping anything)

2. Load up ifoedit & press get VTS sectors - heres where the problem happens, because it alters the VTS sectors of all the files, then after that, in the ifoedit player it says there is an illegal navigation, and refuses to play. I may be wrong here, but if I am just ripping the whole DVD to HD - then burning it back to DVD-R, I should'nt have to alter the VTS sectors anyway ??

Now I know you will probably say burn the VIDEO_TS folder in Nero or prassi or any other program but, in order to get a 1-1 copy of a DVD to work on my settop, I have to use the Ifoedit image creation button, then burn the image in gearpro.

Creating an image in ifoedit automaticaly corrects the VTS sectors, and I don't know why they should have to be changed, because I have not removed anything.

I can get just the 'movie only' to work on my settop when I create a DVD-Video in Gearpro (Importing the VIDEO_TS folder) but it does not work if the DVD contains menu's etc..

Any ideas??

P.S. - Everything I learned about ripping, stripping, & burning DVD's was from this Forum, Doom's site, Ifoedits site, & DVD Decrypters site.

BIG thanks guys :D

If the DVD is under 4.3GB then it is simpler to use ISO mode in DVDDecrypter.

Mode > ISO > Read

then

Mode > ISO > Write

That is it, finished.
